2. What is the difference between Majordomo and the subscribable maillists? - Top
The Subscribable maillists are a very simple to use way of building a e-mail list to make general announcements, such as specials, price drops, or a monthly newsletter.

Majordomo is a highly interactive full featured program that allows every one subscribed to the list to interact and post to the list. Its fully designed to automate the management of Internet mailing lists. Commands are sent to Majordomo via electronic mail to handle all aspects of list maintenance. Once a list is set up, virtually all operations can be performed remotely, requiring no intervention upon the postmaster of the list site.

3. Can I compile programs written in C and C++? - Top
Yes, if the account you choose includes Telnet access. The standard gcc compiler is used.

4. How can I tell how many visits my web site gets? - Top
Included FREE with every account is Wusage, a very powerful tool for graphically tracking visitors to your site. It provides you statistics on how long visitors were there, what pages they visited and the order in which they were visited. With the advanced logging feature activated it even captures what browser was being used and how the visitors found you, whether through a search engine or a web site link.

6. Can I upgrade my account? - Top
Yes. You can upgrade your account at any time. If you are upgrading to an account with the same level of setup fees as your current account, we do not charge a setup fee for the upgrade. But if you are upgrading to an account with a higher level of setup fees than your current account, we only charge you the difference in the setup fees.

Yes. We backup your web directory daily on redundant hard drives installed on each of our hosting servers.

16. Are third level domain names available? - Top
Yes. We can give you a third level domain name such as yourname.wallabywebhost.com or if you have an existing domain with us anyname.yourdomain.com. The biggest advantage here is that registration is not needed, therefore there are no registration fees involved.

17. Can I point additional domains to the same main page as my current domain? - Top
Yes. We can mirror your main web pages and mail system for a one time $25.00 setup fee for each additional domain. This is a great way to expand the marketing of your present business.

18. Can I host domains in the sub-directory of my main account? - Top
Yes. In order for you to be able to host domains in the sub-directories of your main account, you need the domain redirection feature. The Webmaster Upgrade provides the ability to redirect parked domains to sub directories. This CGI based tool is intended for webmasters and web designers that maintain web sites for their clients, providing for easier maintenance and information updates through one login. We also provide a web interface so you can easily manage domains pointing to subdirectories

19. Can I subdivide my space and resell it? - Top
Yes. We allow you to create sub-directories, which you can use to offer friends or clients disk space under your main account, as long as it is within our policy guidelines. You can also request additional FTP Accounts with limited access to a specific directory for a small additional setup charge.

20. How long does it take to setup a new account? - Top
Our goal is to have new accounts set-up within 24 hours from the time we receive your order. Under some circumstances, it may take up to 72 hours. Once your account is setup, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new web site. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification.

Yes. You can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information, products and services available to the users of the Internet community, and we provide our customers the necessary tools to develop a successful Internet business.

Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

23. With the Webmaster account how will the URL appear? - Top
The visitors to the site will just be typing in the the alias domain name.

Example:

Main domain - fred.com
Subdirectory domain - wilma.com

A visitor types in http://wilma.com and automatically goes to http://wilma.com/wilma/.

Depending on the browser the visitor will see one of the following in the navigation window of there browser.
    1. http://wilma.com/
    2. http://wilma.com/wilma/

24. How do I transfer files to my web site? - Top
Through the browser based Web Control software. It makes is easy to upload your files and maintain your website.

25. What is a virtual/true domain? - Top
A virtual/true domain is having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a virtual domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however, you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address (www.your-name.com) and by your own personal e-mail address (you@your-name.com). Having your own domain name enables you to maintain the same e-mail address (you@your-name.com) even if you change Internet providers. - Updated: August 1, 2006
